Devil On A Pig Composition
A true Art of the Antique piece, and so much fun, Lucifer through the Looking Glass!
Austrian cold painted bronze devil riding a pig set behind a Victorian magnifying lens and mounted on a block of wood with copper pillars to hold in place.
Why the devil is on a pig we have no idea, the Victorians were very strange people sometimes, but the original piece is beautifully done and then enhanced by our add ons of the lens, so such a small intricate piece can be seen by all clearly.
Base and copper a modern day complement.
The full piece is 24.5cm high, width 16.5cm, the devil on a pig on its own is 4 cm and weighs (the whole piece) 1.79kg
A complete one off creation, there is some age related wear to both the Devil on a pig and magnifying glass but both are in good condition for piece's used and worn through time.....and wouldn't you be after all these years of riding !
