Postage & Delivery

We offer free postage/shipping to all buyers within the UK mainland.
If you are outside the UK Mainland we are unable to offer free postage/shipping.
Shipping to countries outside the UK Mainland is the buyers responsibility.
UK sales please remember to supply us with your full delivery address, contact phone number and contact name as we cannot be liable for your item being delivered to the wrong address due to incorrect initial information given to us.
We will only deliver to the address linked to your debit/credit card.
All items will be shipped within 7 working days after payment clearance and we will notify you on dispatch with tracking numbers or, for larger items, courier details.
All items will need a signature on delivery.
The ownership of the item passes to the buyer upon receipt of the item so please inspect your item as soon as it arrives, if there has been any damage during shipping please take pictures of the damaged packing and the item.
We do not include any installation or unpacking in our deliveries, deliveries will be to your door.
If you are outside of the UK Mainland please make sure that you are aware of any restrictions there may be for certain items into your country before you buy.
It is your responsibility to make sure that all items comply with your countries importation rules.
Please note that delivery costs for buyers outside the UK Mainland are between you and your chosen shipper.
We are also not liable for any customs, duties, taxes, VAT or any other charges you may incur with the item into your country outside the UK mainland, these will be paid locally by you.
We are not responsible for any customs delays.

Product Conditions

All the items we sell are old and all our stock is sold as decoration pieces with no other usages attached to them, all items we sell are for adult buyers and not children’s toys.
Some are very old and they are bound to have age related deterioration, therefore we make sure we have described their condition to the best of our knowledge, however all measurements, details and knowledge of the items are for reference only.
Some of our items are enhanced with boxes, stands etc.
All our items are initially vintage/antique/ancient, they come with no guarantees or warranties.
Please check out the item of your interest’s pictures and description thoroughly, it is the buyers responsibility to make sure that the item fulfils what they are looking for, but if you do have any questions about it please get in touch.
Remember our pictures are in house, made & taken by us, and colours etc. may show up differently on your computer.
The ownership of the item passes to the buyer upon receipt of the item within the UK.
Non-UK countries, our ownership ends on handing over to the buyers shipper.
Therefore in UK & Overseas we cannot be held liable for any changes you or your representatives make to it, any problems you may have if you sell it on, loss of the item, restorations you make, deterioration of the item, damage to you or your property after the sale.
All electrical items are PAT tested.

All payments in British Pounds.
Credit and Debit cards payments via our Stripe checkout.
BACS Transfer - Details upon request.
All sales are subject to the above Terms & Conditions.
Art of the Antique reserves the right to cancel any order at any time.
We are not liable for any customs, duties, taxes, VAT or any other charges you may incur importing the item into your country outside the UK mainland, these will be paid locally by you.
We are not responsible for any customs delays.

Customer Data Policy

When you buy something on this website, we collect personal information from you to fulfil the order.

This is collected by Squarespace, our online store hosting provider, so that they can provide website services to us.
Our payment processor Stripe will also collect payment information from you.

As you go through checkout, this site may auto complete your shipping and billing address by sharing what you type with the Google Places API and returning suggestions to you to improve your checkout experience.

Art of the Antique will not sell/pass on your personal details to third parties.
We use your email address for order updates to let you know that you have made a purchase, and your order has been shipped. It’s not possible to unsubscribe from these messages.
Art of the Antique will pass on your name, address and contact details to any couriers or shippers to make sure the item is delivered to you safely.
Art of the Antique will only use your email address for new stock notifications and any other notifications if you have given us permission to do so by signing up to our account, marketing and promotional emails. We may send you marketing emails, which you can unsubscribe from by clicking the link at the bottom of the email.

Please ensure the item is returned in its original condition, and note that returns are only accepted from the original purchaser. The buyer is responsible for return packing, postage/shipping costs, and any associated expenses. We recommend professional packing, proof of posting, and insurance. Refunds are limited to the item's cost, return postage costs are non-refundable.
